Summit League: South Dakota State Jackrabbits Men’s Basketball vs. USD Coyotes in Weekend Showdown
This Saturday marks the pinnacle of Summit League action as the South Dakota State Jackrabbits face off against the USD Coyotes. The men’s basketball teams will clash in Vermillion at 1 p.m., while the women’s game is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Frost Arena. Both contests will be televised on Midco Sports.
The much-anticipated rivalry kicks off with the Coyote men hosting the Jackrabbits, followed by the South Dakota State women hosting USD. Leading up to the rivalry game, all four teams will be in action on Thursday night. SDSU’s men will host Omaha, SDSU’s women will visit the Mavericks, USD’s men will host St. Thomas, and the women’s team will travel to St. Paul to face the Tommies.
SDSU Men
The Jackrabbits, chosen as the Summit League favorites, hold a 9-9 overall record and a 2-1 Summit League play record. Despite a recent loss, they showcase strong performances from guard Zeke Mayo and emerging talents like William Kyle, Luke Appel, and Charlie Easley.
USD Men
